Project Lighthouse embodies purposeful transformation. An ornate apartment was stripped back and re-imagined as a modern minimal retreat.
Client’s brief:deliver an opulent functional home while honouring budget and maximum reuse of existing frame. Non-negotiable requirements included a walk-in wardrobe in the master room and a working kitchen apart from the existing island and a water fountain. Nebulous craftsmanship brings the design to life. A cohesive warm neutral palette, layered with patterns, black accents, subtle textures, and soft light, threads through the interiors.
Highlights:
– Balconies being transformed into a seamless walk-in wardrobe, another into an alfresco pantry, and a third into a scenic retreat with a live edge and cascading water fountain – A curved partition resolving an awkward column and a curved glass partition concealing a laundry room
Existing elements were repurposed with modern flair, such as beds with new upholstery, finishes, and tailored headboards. The kitchen island was modernized with muted materials, reinforcing visual continuity. The value wall framed in bold black trims highlighting the purpose of this home.
Project Lighthouse stands as a testament to a tranquil haven that embodies the perfect blend of form and function.
